Danielle Taylor, who grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia continues her dedication and focus by taking the path to become a medical doctor at Ohio University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She recently began her second year of medical school and has a projected graduation date of 2012 with her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).  Taylor graduated from Frank W. Cox High School, where she was a Cheerleader for 4 years and competed in Track and Field as a Pole Vaulter for two years.  She was an All-Beach District champion / Eastern Region participant and finished 1st in the Outdoor State Track and Field Meets in 2000.  Her personal best jump in high school was 11 feet which established a state record at the time, and is still the current school record at Cox High School.

After high school, she was a four-year scholarship track and field athlete at UNC-Charlotte.  During this period Taylor's accomplishments included:

   -Conference USA 2nd place finish 2003 outdoor track and field

   -Conference USA Tied for 1st place finish 2003 Indoor track and field

   -Current UNC Charlotte record holder for indoor track and field with a height of 12'0

   -Current UNC Charlotte record holder for outdoor track and field with a height of 12'6

   -NCAA regional qualifier for outdoor track and field 2003 & 2004

After graduating from UNC-Charlotte, she enrolled at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida where she graduated with a Master's Degree in Biomedical Sciences.  Danielle Taylor has an incredible record of dedication and academic excellence, on the field and in the classroom.  Her accomplishments typify how amateur athletes can be successful when Total Preparation for Opportunities via Sports is achieved.
